Jennifer Haley Schwartz, FNP-BC, CDE
Jennifer Haley Schwartz, FNP-BC, CDE was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan. Jennifer began her career providing total patient care for newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at South Miami Hospital. She furthered her education at the University of Miami, where she received a Master’s of Science in Nursing.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Jennifer began her work as a Sub-Investigator at Miami Research Associates. She worked primarily in Phase I and II clinical trials for new medications to treat diabetes. This experience sparked her interest in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and ignited her desire to work intensively with diabetic patients.
Jennifer has always had a profound interest in nutrition as part of disease management. She believes that by combining the holistic approach of nutrition with her background in medicine, she is able to provide optimal care and results for her patients; specifically, those with diabetes, obesity, hyperlipidemia and thyroid autoimmune disease.
Jennifer is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in Florida and New York. She is also a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). She provides intensive insulin management and hands on training for insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors. Jennifer is a certified product trainer for Omnipod, Medtronic, Animas, Tandem, Accu-Chek and Dexcom. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, the American Nurses Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
